When you think about Jazzercise, ‘80s legwarmers and leotards might be what comes to mind. However, these popular dance workouts have transformed into a modern-day fitness revolution—only now the leotards are long gone and the classes are way too hot for legwarmers.

Jazzercise came to Raindrop in 2018 looking for PR coverage around their 50th anniversary celebration and launch of founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Missett’s book. 

It was our mission to share the engaging Jazzercise story of the original dance party workout with new and fresh energy, demonstrating how the brand continues to evolve and transform people’s bodies and lives.

Together we worked to reposition “your mom’s ’80s workout” into a fun, contemporary and iconic workout that will leave you sweating and smiling.

The results?

We achieved historic in-depth national coverage, including features on household morning shows, broadcast spotlights, online and print publications, social media activations and podcast features. From Forbes and Glamour, to The New Yorker and The Atlantic, people everywhere were thrilled to celebrate a nostalgic past while looking toward a brighter future of fitness.

Our efforts enabled Jazzercise to grow their audiences across multiple channels, as well as successfully launching new digital platform—Jazzercise On Demand.
