REPORTS TO SENIOR PR MANAGER

We’re looking for a stellar PR intern who is a passionate, creative and eager to support our team on a range of San Diego-based clients. As a PR intern at Raindrop, there will be immense opportunities to grow and build your portfolio as you’ll help garner media coverage for our clients, research and build influencer lists, monitor industry news for client coverage, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide media relations support on primary accounts including the Del Mar Racetrack and San Diego Symphony
  • Pitch and secure media coverage
  • Track media hits and update activity reports
  • Research and build influencer lists
  • Draft press materials, pitches and client materials
  • Help develop new pitching angles, ideas, and giveaways for media
  • Ensure media database is kept up-to-date
  • Keep track of teams leads and coverage reporting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Past internship(s) experience a must
  • Agency experience required
  • Excellent writing and copy editing skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Knowledge of AP style and Cision preferred
  • Recently graduated OR currently enrolled at a university majoring in: communications, public relations or journalism

Time & Compensation

  • This is a paid internship ($12/hour)
  • This position requires 5 days a week at our Little Italy office
  • Typical hours are 9am-5pm
